To mount on the inside of trailer door
These instructions will work for most aluminum trailers.

1. On the inside of door, hold the door stop up to the bolts that hold gate latch in place. Door stop should be close to flush or slightly higher than the bottom of door. If the bolts match up to the holes in the bracket of door stop; remove the corresponding bolts holding gate latch. (if not see bottom of instructions)
2. Line up door stop bracket holes with existing holes. Replace bolts and tighten nuts on bolts to ensure door stop is fastened securely.

For trailers that brackets DO NOT align with existing bolts.
You will need: 9/16" wrench and/or socket; pliers; drill and 3/8" drill bit. 2-4 3/8" bolts approx. 2 1/4"

1. If bottom bolts will allow door stop to be flush or slightly higher than the bottom of the door- remove corresponding bolts.
2. Mount bottom bracket with existing bolts. Snug nuts up on the bolts to be sure placement of top bracket is correct.
3. for top bracket- drill through bracket holes with a 3/8" drill bit and use 2- 3/8" bolts to secure to door.
4. Tighten all nuts to ensure door stop is fastened securely
5. Door stop is ready for use!
6. If neither to top nor bottom bolts will allow proper placement of door stop; place door stop in desired location on inside edge of door and drill the appropriate holes for both top and bottom brackets and use 4- 3/8" bolts to install. Tighten nuts to ensure door stop is fastened securely.

For placement on the OUTSIDE of trailer door-most commonly needed for a steel trailer
You will need: drill, 3/8" drill bit, 9/16" wrench and/or socket, pliers

1. Place door stop at desired location on outside of door. Mark location of bracket holes on door. Drill holes and mount with 3/8" bolts.
2. For steel trailers with a ribbed door; a spacer may be needed to place behind brackets; so there is a tight fit.
